街をつくるように客席をデザインできないか―
街には人々が行き交う表通りがあり
その裏には必ず裏通り＝路地裏という場所がある
付き合い染みた他人行儀な表通りとは異なり
路地裏には生活感や人と人との近しい距離感が存在する
そして昔ながらの街並みには必ず
その路地裏に賑わいや団らんが溢れ出す
掲げたコンセプトは
“BACKALLEY GATHERING” ― 路地裏の団らん
路地裏の持つ＜懐かしさのある活気＞を創出することで
思わず立ち寄りたくなるような居場所となることを目指した
Can seating be designed in the same way a city is formed—
In a city, there are main streets where people come and go,
and behind them, there are always back alleys.
Unlike the main streets—where interactions tend to remain somewhat formal and distant—
back alleys embody a sense of everyday life and a closer human scale.
In traditional urban settings, these back alleys are where liveliness and social gathering naturally emerge.
The guiding concept is
“BACKALLEY GATHERING” — an intimate social life of the alley.
By creating the nostalgic vitality inherent to back alleys,
the space aspires to become a place that people are instinctively drawn to.
